10 Mar , 2026
|
On February 6, 2026, our school participated in the Animal Photopoetry Creative Challenge, co-organised by the Education Bureau and Ocean Park Hong Kong under the SOW Campaign. This cross-curricular event encouraged students to enhance their appreciation of English poetry, express creativity through photography and writing, and promote positive values and attitudes. The event was very well-attended, with around 100 schools taking part. - Byron Wallin |

Student Reflection by Yeung Yat Long, Isaac (2B) The trip to Ocean Park was definitely one of the best days I’ve ever had! It all went smoothly, filled with many surprises and funny moments. For the entry for the poem competition, I wrote about the Yellow Seahorse (again), as I thought it fit the theme of ‘Filial Piety’ quite well. This time, I immediately went to its exhibit instead of writing the poem first to prevent the mistake I made last time, and it proved to be the correct choice. After writing the poem, we went on a few rides, and it was thrilling! What an incredibly remarkable experience! |

Student Reflection by Yeung Lok Ting, Natalie (2C) During February, I went to Ocean Park with 9 of my schoolmates. We had a lot of fun going on the different rides, including The Rapids (the water ride) and Wild Twister (the spinning ride). Besides the rides, all of us wrote some very lovely and evocative poems, with mine shedding light on pandas. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Ocean Park, and I hope to go again next year, if I have the chance! |

Student Reflection by Yu Nga Sze, Elyse (2D) This is my second year to join the Animal Photo Poetry Competition. This year I wrote about filial piety, and my inspiration came from the pandas. I was so chuffed that we could visit the pandas, as last year the panda’s conservation was too crowded that we couldn’t go in, but luckily this year, we could go to visit them. Also, after the submission of our poems, my friends and I went to take The Rapids water ride four times, and we all soaked to the skin, but undeniably, we all had immense fun!
