LPS Senior English Debating Team Shines in the HKSSD Competition Grand Final

The Grand Final of the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition took place on July 10, 2024, featuring an intense debate between LPS and Tack Ching Girl's Secondary School. Both teams showcased their impressive debating skills, cohesive teamwork and flair for public speaking. In a closely fought battle, LPS put up a strong fight but narrowly missed the championship, securing the title of 1st runner-up in the Grand Final. Special mentions must go to Kelanna who displayed poise and confidence in her first ever face-to-face debate, as well as to Audrey, who was competing in her second senior Grand Final despite being a form two student, which is a testament to her talent and maturity. Finally, we owe a huge thank you to our English Debating Team Captain, Candy, who crafted a superb case for this motion and is always an inspiration to her teammates as well as our junior members. The event highlighted the exceptional talent and commitment of LPS's debaters, and they should be proud of their outstanding performance.
